I took a quick trip up to Goshen on Sunday to have a look at the Orange County Government Center by Paul Rudolph. It is scheduled for demolition this April, and I am sorry to see it go. From what I have gathered the town doesn’t like the building, and they want it knocked down despite a proposal to restore it as a cultural center and build a new offices next door. There were a few other mourners armed with cameras, and the general sentiment was somber. Here is some press on the subject:
I also squeezed in a sketch while the sun set; graphite, ink, and watercolor on arches paper.
